Wednesday April 6 Stephen's Gate or Lion's Gate/ Pools of Bethesda/ St Anne's Church/ Muslim Quarter Old Jerusalem/ BYU Center/ Golgotha Garden Tomb

Stephen's Gate where he was stoned just outside of the city.

Ruins of the Pools of Bethesda

St Anne's Church, we sang hymns inside in the perfect acoustics, the Spirit brought me to tears.

Dr Lund sang a solo in Spanish, wonderful!
This mark on the outside of a Muslim home designated the family has been to Mecca on pilgrimage.
This is the Muslim Quarter of Old Jerusalem.

From inside the auditorium of the BYU Jerusalem Center looking across the Valley to the Temple Mount and Dome of the Rock.

Closer view of the Dome of the Rock and Eastern Wall from across the Kidron Valley on Mt. of Olives.

Jewish Cemetery on Mt of Olives, the Jews do not bury in coffins, just in the ground wrapped in a shroud or prayer cloth. This means they must be buried within 24 hours. Many Jews come to Jerusalem to die so they can be buried in the Holy Land.
Entrance to the Garden Tomb. Other sites such as the Church of the Holy Seplecure are also suggested as the site of the Cruxification and Resurrection of the Savior, strong evidence supports the Garden Tomb, but no one really knows. It is important to remember the Savior, not the site.
Golgotha? Hill of the Skull?

The Garden Tomb ? Matters not, this was a very humbling experience just to be anywhere near where the most important event in Mankind occurred.
